Man on remand

A 38-year-old Abingdon man was remanded on a charge of indecently assaulting a woman. Michael Hearmon, of Thornhill Walk, was bailed in his absence from Didcot Magistrates' Court with a condition that he does not contact the woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons. Hearmon also faces three driving offences.   more...

Burglary alleged

Stephen Thomas, 22, of Welford Gardens, Abingdon was remanded on unconditional bail at Didcot Magistrates' Court, charged with burgling staff quarters at the Crown and Thistle Hotel with intent to steal. He was bailed until April 26 pending the case being committed to Oxford Crown Court.   more...

Young Asian men are needed to take part in an identity parade at St Aldate's police station on Wednesday, at 1pm. Those eligible need to be between 5ft 4in and 5ft 8in tall, of a slim build and between 18 and 23, clean shaven and with short dark hair.
